Holiday Inn Resort Galveston - On The Beach, An Ihg Hotel, Galveston

The hotel's location is its best feature, being clean and pleasant with a good view of the area, but it's unfortunate that the rooms need more light and decoration to match the beach vibe. The dining experience was a letdown with cold and greasy food in the mornings, despite the outstanding service. The hotel is right on the beach, which is a major plus, but the downside is the damp and musty rooms that don't match the pictures.

The hotel had a nice location by the seawall and is family-friendly, but it could get noisy. The service was exceptional, with welcoming staff and thoughtful gestures, apart from one uncomfortable encounter. The dining experience was above average with a classic Italian menu, while the rooms offered a mix of positives and negatives, including a distracting view of rooftop equipment. Overall, an enjoyable stay with a few minor drawbacks.
